A lot of manual driveway gates are in great condition, they just don’t meet the current needs of the homeowner anymore.
Instead of purchasing new gates you can keep your current gates and with a little tweak turn them into automatic driveway gates. This prevents the unnecessary cost of purchasing new gates.

What else do I need?
When automating a manual gate you do need to consider how you will receive your post. Electric gates prevent the mail man getting on to your drive. You can install a postbox on your gate, wall or buy a free standing postbox.
How does a visitor notify you that they are outside? You can install a hardwired or wireless intercom system. Or simply install a doorbell on the street side of your gate.
