Option 5 – State of the art intercom with facial recognition technology.

Before Installation…

Data we need

The data collection below is needed to program your intercom. Please fill in the information and press submit….

House Details

What is your house number?
What is your Street Name?
Does your house have a Name?

Download the app

You will need to download the Akuvox SmartPlus app.

Once we have programmed your intercom you will receive an email (anytime from the deposit being received to install day) containing your username and password for the app. Please keep this email safe.

Please can you ensure the app is loaded on to your phone for the install day.

After Installation…

Top tip

When you set up your details on the app – it is stored on the cloud! Which means there must be no signal issues for the device to connect with the internet.

We recommend setting up your facial recognition and pin code on the device as well. Why? If you ever experience issues with the outdoor unit not connecting to the internet you will still be able to gain access to your property as your details will be stored on the outdoor unit (which will not need internet) to access the details.

On the APP

Add User Account

  • Select Me on the bottom of the screen
  • Select Family Members

Here you can add another member. You get 4 accounts with the indoor monitor. You can add more users at an additional cost.

Add Temporary Pins

  • Select Me on the bottom of the screen
  • Select Authorization
  • Select Temp Keys
  • Select the plus sign, top right

Fill in the details, you will get a QR code and temporary pin code called Key

Bluetooth

  • Select Me on the bottom of the screen
  • Select Authorization
  • Turn Bluetooth Unlock on

Facial Recognition

  • Select Me on the bottom of the screen
  • Select Authorization
  • Select Face Recognition

Siri

  • Select Me on the bottom of the screen
  • Select Discover
  • Select Add to Siri
  • Select the plus sign, top right

Unlock Gate

  • Select Home on the bottom of the screen

Here you can access the intercom.

On the Outdoor Unit – Intercom

Add a User

You will be passed a log in code for the outdoor unit.

  • Press and hold on the image part of the unit.
  • Hold for at least 10 seconds.
  • You will then be asked to enter in your pin.
  • Select User
  • Select User List
  • Select Add

Fill in the details…

On the indoor Unit

To change any settings on the indoor unit the backend code is 123456.

If you change your internet supplier, you will need to go into the settings on the indoor unit and change the WiFi settings.

Signal Test…

SIM Card

It is important that you purchase a SIM card from the provider that has the strongest signal strength at your gate. As this is where the device will be situated.

There is an app you can use to test the signal strength at your gate.

Remember – you are testing the signal strength of the SIM card provider for your mobile phone.
